How to source products from China with a structured brief

A practical sequence for turning a product idea into supplier options, samples and a purchase decision.

Effective China product sourcing starts with a written brief. Photos, target dimensions, materials, certifications, destination market, expected quantity and a realistic target price prevent wasted factory time. Supplier finding should produce a shortlist, not a single quote. Compare commercial terms, lead time, export experience and whether the factory actually makes the item or trades it. Verification is separate from quoting. Business license checks, process capability and sample evaluation reduce the risk of ordering from the wrong type of supplier. Sampling is the decision point. Confirm function, finish, packaging and any private-label elements before committing to volume. SZ FASTLINK coordinates this sequence for buyers who need a China-based partner rather than managing every factory conversation themselves.
